Seattle!

Ah, what a fun trip! We decided to go to Seattle over the 4th and see Kevin's old neighborhood (he grew up there until he was 8), and visit my good friend Hilary and her husband Adam. Above is us at the Pike Market Place which is the ultimate farmers market. We bought some delicious peaches and ham and cheese croissants! To die for.
This is the famous "gum wall". Pretty fascinating and gross huh? We contributed by sticking some gum on there.
Below is the view from the ferry. We rode the ferry to Adam's family's lake house in Bremerton. The ferry was fun and it was cool to see all the houses on the shore.
 Kayaking on the lake!
Washington has some amazing waterfalls! I love it. Below is the Snoqualmie Falls.
Ha, I love these pictures. We played horseshoes on the beach. Hilary had the best expressions.

Above is Kevin and I in front of Mt. St. Helens volcano. If you look at the picture below you can see the big crater in the mountain. It erupted in 1980 and took the top half of the mountain with it. It was pretty fascinating to visit the visitors center and see all the destruction and renewal that took place since it erupted.
I love the forests in Washington, they are so green and thick. We went on so many hikes with this kind of scenery.
Below is us on Mt. Rainier, one of the tallest peaks in North America.
Below is one of the waterfalls below Mt. Rainier. Can you see the rainbow?
The last half of the trip we spent with Adam and Hilary and their adorable little girl, Mary. We got to celebrate her first birthday with them. She is one funny and entertaining little girl.
We took our semi new camera so we have been practicing and taking lots of pictures. We want to go back to Seattle and take our road bikes and ride to Mt St Helens because it was the perfect ride, with wide roads and breathtaking views around every corner. We got so lucky with beautiful weather the whole time. I enjoyed the break from the Utah heat. It was so good to visit Hilary and her family, they were great hosts. We are enjoying summer and looking forward to our next trip to California!
