Gratitude

I was supposed to teach a lesson in YW today about gratitude but long story short, I didn't end up giving the lesson. But it got me thinking. I have SO much that I am SO grateful for. I want to share an awesome quote by Elder Hales:

"Gratitude expressed to our Heavenly Father in prayer for what we have brings a calming peace—a peace which allows us to not canker our souls for what we don’t have. Gratitude brings a peace that helps us overcome the pain of adversity and failure. Gratitude on a daily basis means we express appreciation for what we have now without qualification for what we had in the past or desire in the future. A recognition of and appreciation for our gifts and talents which have been given also allows us to acknowledge the need for help and assistance from the gifts and talents possessed by others."

I had fun going through old pictures and finding the things/people I am grateful for. (Oh and they definitely aren't in any specific order)

I am grateful for the joy I find in all my favorite hobbies. Especially flying.

I am grateful for the beauty of the earth. I am grateful I have been able to see so many beautiful places.

I am grateful to have a husband that I love more every day. And I am grateful to have eternity with him!

I am grateful for awesome in-laws. I am truly blessed.

I am grateful for my friends. We have stuck together since Elementary and even though I am terrible at keeping in touch, they still show me that they care.

I am grateful for eternal families and that we will see our loved ones again.

I am grateful for pets, but especially Sage. She is our baby and we love her so.

I am grateful my family: my parents and my siblings and my in-law siblings. (Joelle, Trav's wife isn't in this picture, but I am grateful for her too!)

See? I have so much to be grateful for! I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by. :)
